LADIES, THE GREAT DAY HAS COME!

Kathy Michael has been elected Clerk of McLean County—thanks to the help and tireless support of so many former employees of the office.

In the darkest hours did we ever think we would see this day—the end of PeggyAnn Milton’s “reign?”  We’re sure most of us couldn’t imagine how on earth it would ever be possible to wrest this office away from her.

But we did it.  We used the electoral process, Democracy itself, to make CHANGE HAPPEN where it was so badly needed.  Thank God we live in a country and have a system like this–one that empowers ordinary people (like us!) to “clean house” through the ballot box.

We want to thank EVERYONE for their hard work on this campaign.  It was a long haul but we persevered to the end, knowing that it was NOW OR NEVER to finally bring a Fresh Start to this office.

We also want to of course thank Kathy Michael for agreeing to run–for us and for all the voters and taxpayers of McLean County.  We are so very proud to say that Kathy is “one of us,” also a former Deputy Clerk, who understands this office and this job.  We have complete confidence in her management abilities, her professionalism, and her excellent “touch” with people. 

We know that the office of Clerk is now, at last, in good hands.

Thank you everyone.  Forward now into the future.
